I have a little Southern girl!

I had a wonderful Mother's Day on Sunday. Russ and Chloe Jo gave me a few summer tops and a Taylor Swift CD. I had lost my Fearless CD several months ago and had been looking for it ever since. It is my favorite album of Taylor's so Russ replaced it for me. Not even five minutes later I was picking new CD's for my car and found my Fearless album in the Straight No Chaser 12 Days of Christmas case. Since I had already opened the new one, I couldn't take it back so I found someone to give it to here. I was beyond frustrated, though. Months of looking for it and then I found it 5 minutes after I received a new one. Sigh.

Here we are Sunday morning before going to church services. I think I look dorky here, but it was, sadly, the best one of the few we took like this!
Chloe Jo is such a little sweetie. She loves to give kisses and hugs and to snuggle all of the time. I love it and soak it up.
Lately, she has been saying the funniest things and saying them in a little southern accent. I love the way she says Bible and Jesus with a cute little drawl. It cracks me up! Here are a few of the funny things she has been saying:

A few days ago she was putting her library books on a chest and she knocked over a picture so she looked at me and said "Oppsssss! Don' wowwy!" She doesn't say Oops. It's always Opps. Hilarious!

That same day, after her nap, I asked her if she needed to go potty. She shook her head no. I then asked again and said "you haven't gone since before nap time" to which she shrugged her little shoulders and said "so?" It cracked Russ and I smooth up!

We have been working diligently on sitting still and quiet during church services. I had gotten into the bad habit of letting her take a bag full of stuff to do. That wasn't working anymore because Chloe Jo wouldn't sit still. I talked to her about sitting quietly and only getting to take one thing to hold several times. I know she understood because I haven't had any problems for a couple of weeks. Except for this one, teensy, tiny issue. Sunday morning, Russ was preaching and during his lesson he asked a question. He said, "If God asked you how much you studied your Bible, would you be comfortable or embarrassed?" Chloe Jo answered him and answered him wrong! In the middle of service she, loudly, says "embarrassed!" I was hoping it wasn't that loud, but a man on the other side of the auditorium laughed! Bahahahaha!

One more little story and then I'll quit. Today, Chloe Jo's hair was something else after nap time. She had been out in the pool and it had gotten wet so it was just crazy! I asked her if she is a wild woman to which she replied, "maaaaaybeeeee." Ha! It made me LOL!

With all the hilarious things she was saying and the southern accent she says them in, I laugh at her all the time lately!

I feel ya on the Taylor Swift thing. I listen to her album "speak now" everyday! She's great!

That's hilarious about Chloe Jo's response to her daddy's question! I literally laughed out loud!

I just found your blog a week or so ago. It's so nice to "meet" you!
