What I'm Loving Wednesday!

It's that time again! Link up {here} to tell us what you are loving today!

I'm loving that Russ' birthday was Monday, mine was yesterday and our anniversary is Monday. Let's party!

I'm loving the movie Anastasia. It is my favorite animated movie and Russ bought it for me for my birthday. I had it already, but it was a VHS and we haven't had a VHS player for several years now.
I'm loving board games like Mancala. Russ hates to play so I pulled birthday rank yesterday and made him play games with me. :)
I'm loving that I'm going to get to see my new nephew, Ethan, this week!

I'm loving my sweet hubby. Happy Birthday and Anniversary to us!
And I'm loving my sweet little girl, Chloe Jo. I introduced Dora on the computer to her last week and she loved it!
What are you loving this week?

Birthday Extravaganza Part 1

Birthday Extravaganza includes Russ' birthday (on Monday) and mine (today) so this will be a two parter. Come back on Thursday to read about my special day!

Russ started his birthday by taking our car to the shop and walking back to our house. It seems like we have been having an extra rough year with cars and trees falling on our house. Regardless of the beginning of the day, the rest of it turned out great!

Chloe Jo and I started out the day by wearing our "Russ Rocks" t-shirts. This always makes Russ walk a little straighter.
Then we gave Daddy his presents. I was going to make him wait until after lunch and dessert, but he couldn't wait!
Chloe Jo, of course, helped him open his presents.
Russ requested cupcakes for his birthday dessert so I had baked them that morning. After presents and lunch I frosted them and Chloe Jo added sprinkles. I think she liked helping me.
And we definitely enjoyed eating the cupcakes with ice cream!
Especially Chloe Jo.
We hope you had a fantastic birthday, Daddy! Here's to our last 365 of our twenties!

Music Monday

I heard this song last week for the first time. I think it is so fun and catchy!

Sunday Sweetie

After putting Chloe Jo to bed, I downloaded the pictures I took today. There were 44! I can't believe I took that many pictures in a normal, not special day! Here are a few highlights of the day:

Cheeser!
Tonight we dressed Chloe Jo in these new overalls we bought for her last week. I think she looks so adorable in them! She has the southern accent and now she has the southern overalls. She looks so tall in them, too. She has been growing so fast lately. These are a 3T. She was in size 2T for about 3 months before everything started getting too short for her.
After evening church services, we went to eat at Wendy's and then took CJ to the park to play for a while. She always loves going to the park.
Here she is being a fearless climber. Mom says she's "almost fearless" because she is still scared to go down the tube slide. LOL!
And tonight, Chloe Jo said her very first prayer all by herself. We were at Wendy's and CJ and I were sitting at a table. She asked, "Where Dada?" and I told her that he was bringing the food. She loves to pray so she said "Mamen?" asking if we were going to say a prayer and I said we would say it when Daddy got to the table with our food. She promptly put her little hands together, bowed her head, closed her eyes and said,

"Dada, Momma. Mamen."

Translation: "Dear God, thank you for Dadda and Momma. Amen."

She is praying in this picture. We always say a prayer at nap time and bedtime with Chloe Jo. We ask her who she wants to thank God for. Her list usually includes Dadda, Momma and the mailman. Too cute!

Making some progress

I've been making a lot of progress on my stack of pictures this week. I finished 2 layouts and 3 single pages yesterday and have already done 3 singles this morning. I'm loving how most of the pages are turning out. Some of them could be better but I'm not going to worry about it since I still have a ton of pictures to do. Here are a few of my favorites from yesterday and today.
Are you all getting tired of the scrapbooking subject yet? I've been devoting my time to it lately so there hasn't been much else to blog about. I hope you are all having fun and productive weekends!

James was a fisherman.

Three weeks ago I started teaching a series on the Apostles of Jesus Christ in Wednesday evening Bible class. I usually sing the Apostles song, talk about who we have studied about before and then tell a little about the Apostle that we are studying that night. So far we have done Peter, Andrew and James. The first four Apostles in the series were all fishermen so we have been doing a lot of hand work that includes something about fish. So last night we studied James and made fish out of cd's. The kids were thrilled with their creations! I used a hot glue gun to put the fish together after each child picked out the fins and eyes.
Next week we will be talking about John so I need to figure out one more fish activity to do and then we will be moving on. There isn't a lot of information for some of the Apostles so I also have to figure out how to make a 45 minute class out of the tiny bit of info there is on them. I hope the children continue to do well with the series and continue to learn!

What I'm Loving Wednesday!

It's Wednesday again and that means it's time to tell you what I'm loving this week!

I'm loving that Uncle Chris (CJ's uncle, my brother-in-law) is coming to hang out today. He is working in North Carolina right now and has a free afternoon/evening to visit and go Bible class with us.

I'm loving this Halloween costume I bought for CJ this week. She is going to be the cutest Little Red Riding Hood ever!
I'm loving all of the scrapbooking I've been getting done. These are some of my favorites:
As always I'm loving my sweet Chloe Jo!
I'm loving Dolly Parton's Imagination Library. We just got this book in the mail yesterday. Chloe Jo loves getting a book every month. If you are interested in your child (Ages 5 and under) getting a new book for free every month, check out the webpage here.
What are you loving today?

Still Plugging Along

Well, ya'll, I'm still plugging away at my scrapbooking. One of my resolutions this year is to get caught up with it. With everything else on my list, I think I may have bitten off more than I can chew. But, my pile of pictures is smaller. See?
I know. It's still huge and that is just the ones I have printed out up until 2005. Yikes. I am still trying to hit my goal of having them all done by the end of the month. Unfortunately, today I have been lacking in the inspiration department. I've been looking through a lot of magazines to find it. I was able to finish several pages that I'm happy with. I'm just ready to be through this stack and start working on the ones that I don't have printed. I'll probably get burned out before that happens, though! Anyway, here are the pages/spreads I finished today.
This black and white is my favorite from today. I'm in love with it.
I also really like this one. Simple and cute.
And because I had the camera out, Chloe Jo thought she needed to pose for me. Silly girl!
