For Clarification

I just wanted to clarify about my boy being a girl. I really didn't put too much stock in that first ultrasound. It was always in the back of my mind that it could be wrong. I did read that early ultrasounds (mine was around 11 1/2 weeks, the statistic was for 10 to 12 weeks, though I did get it from the internet so who knows if it was just made up or not) are usually around 70% accurate and I just happened to fall of the other side of that statistic. I did not go out and buy a bunch of blue baby stuff. Actually I've only bought two little layettes. One was yellow so that one is fine. The other one was blue so I won't be able to use it with this little one, but I have a friend who is 8 weeks ahead of me that is having a boy so I have part of her baby shower gift already. Also, my mother wanted to start a baby quilt and my sister wanted to start a baby scrapbook for me and I told them to wait until it was confirmed that it's a boy. So, all in all, absolutely no harm done. Everything I have was given to me and since my friend is having a boy (it's her first boy) then I'll just pass along the boy stuff I was given and she can put it to good use!

I'm so excited to be having a girl!!!! Cabbage patch dolls and barbies! Bows and ruffles and pink! EEK!

Congrats on the girl. We thought I was going to have a boy since that seems to be all DH and his family on his dad's side can have. When we found out I was having a girl, it took some time to sink in. Fortunately we only got neutral clothes. Isn't it exciting to be having a little girl. I'm thrilled about the cabbage patch, not so much the barbie, but I get a little princess, that's exciting.
