Happy Birthday Dr. Seuss!

On March 2, 1904, a baby boy was born who would grow up to write 44 children's books. His name was Theodor Seuss Geisel, but went by the pen name of Dr. Seuss (and two others). In 1982 a little girl was born who grew up loving Dr. Seuss' wacky books. This girl had her very own daughter in 2009. She still loves Dr. Seuss and loves to read Dr. Seuss books to her little girl.

Today, we celebrated Dr. Seuss' birthday.
Here is a picture of Chloe Jo and her Dr. Seuss books and stuffed animals.

After Bible class tonight, we stopped by the grocery store and I picked up this mini cake.
When we got home, we sang Happy Birthday to Dr. Seuss (yes, I'm serious) and dug into the cake. Chloe Jo loved the birthday party!
She was so excited!
While Chloe Jo was finishing up her cake, I read Fox in Socks to her. Here is a clip of me reading my favorite part of the book.

Celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday with Chloe Jo (and Russ!) was so fun!

Judging from the pic of Chloe chowing on the cake, I think she'll have no problems at her 2nd birthday!
