My Recipe Box - Apple Cider Pork Chops

I love trying new recipes. I especially love coming across a recipe that we like enough to add to our meal rotation. This recipe is one of those!

Apple Cider Pork Chops

Ingredients:

1/2 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper
4 bone-in pork chops (1 inch thick)
3 T butter or margarine, divided
4 Granny Smith apples, thinly sliced
1 c raisins (optional)
1 c brown sugar, packed
1 c apple cider

Combine flour, salt and pepper in a zip-top freezer bag. Add pork chops, seal and shake to coat. Remove chops. Melt 2 T of the butter in a large skillet. Add chops. Cook 5 minutes on each side. Grease a 13x9 inch baking dish with remaining butter or margarine. Place apple slices in bottom of dish; top with raisins and sprinkle with brown sugar. Arrange chops over brown sugar and drizzle with apple cider. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour or less, if chops are not 1 inch thick.

Enjoy!
