Chloe Jo is 18 Months Old!

Chloe Jo is 18 months old today!!! She is growing up so fast. I can't believe that in 6 short months she will be 2 years old. Yikes...let's not get ahead of ourselves!
What is sweet Chloe Jo up to these days???
Well, for one thing, ever since my post about her not talking much, she has been a little jabber box. I'm not quite sure what she is saying most of the time, but there are letter sounds and word sounds in there! She does say several words, but not consistently. The latest words are:
Elmo
Chipmunk
Duck
Dog
She loves to dress up! Whenever I put a dress or outfit that she likes on, she will rub her hands on it and give me the cheesiest little grins.
She wants me to take her picture all of the time. She doesn't want me to take one of her playing or walking. She wants to pose and smile!
She loves to play outside. She wants to play in our sandy yard and pick up all of the pine needles. Less we have to rake! Ha!
She loves to wear bows and have her hair done. She wants to brush it herself, though! She will be pretty still for me when I'm putting a headband or a ponytail in. Her hair is getting long again. I'm probably going to take her to get it trimmed in the next couple of weeks. I just want it to grow out even if I can get it to. Once it does even up, I will let it grow long.
Chloe Jo has loved wearing her Halloween outfits this month. She has three shirts and this cute pair of pants. I am planning on taking her to the pumpkin patch tomorrow if the weather cooperates. I think she will love going!
I finally put away the last of the 12 month sized clothes a couple of weeks ago. I still had a couple of dresses out that she could wear, but they were starting to get tight so I went ahead and packed them up. She is officially in 18 month clothing now with a few 24 month things thrown in here and there.
She is day-time potty trained. We have gone several days without accidents and when she does have an accident, it upsets her very much and it is usually Mommy or Daddy's fault. When she tells you she has to go, you better get her on the toilet quick! She loves to put a sticker on her Potty chart after she goes potty. She still wears a diaper at naptime and during the night. She usually wakes up from nap dry, though, so I think I am going to try taking the naptime diaper away soon.
Chloe Jo loves to give kisses and hugs. She especially loves to give kisses when I am singing. I don't know if she just doesn't like me singing and tries to get me to stop with her kisses or if she just thinks it's a good time to give kisses. Either way, I think it is hilarious! She doesn't like family hugs, yet. When she wants some lovin' she wants it from one or the other of us. She doesn't like it when I'm holding her and Russ gives me a kiss, either. She will push him away from me or me away from him if I'm the one wanting to give lovin'.
She will eat just about anything I give her. She doesn't mind a little bit of spicy in her food and is beginning to be as crazy about Mexican food as her parents. She feeds herself very well for the most part. She only makes a big mess if she has something like yogurt or apple sauce.
Chloe Jo loves to play with her dolls. She figured out recently that she can take their clothes off and always wants them naked now. What is with little kids and naked dolls? I always dress them again before we put her toys away in the evening. She will pick up her own toys if I nudge her along, though, I'm not very disciplined in making her do it. I guess that's something we can work on.
She loves to color and put stickers on paper. I always have a bag of things for her to do in church so she will be quiet and sit still. She is very good during church times. I give her a dollar every Sunday to put in the collection plate and she thinks she is big stuff when she puts her dollar in. The downside is that she claps loudly for herself and it's a bit embarrassing for us. She brings a whole new way to think about being a cheerful giver.
She is such a joy and a blessing!

She is a very pretty little girl and photogenic too! You're a very cute family. It makes me want a little girl to dress up and show off.

I have a question. You're 5'10", how tall is your husband?! Holy cow!

How tall is Chloe Jo & how much does she weigh? I kinda compare my girls to Chloe Jo. She is so stinkin' cute! Love the pig tails! I'm kinda jealous that she wants to pose for pictures. I can't get mine to stand still for 2 seconds! Great post!
