10 down, 90 to go

My sister has been reading a 100 Greatest Novels list for the last couple of years. This summer I started my own list that I found here. So far, I've been enjoying doing this even though some of the books haven't been that great. I just finished Moby Dick a couple of hours ago. It took me 6 weeks to finish it! While the main story was really good, there were parts that were extremely boring to me. I think I am going to check out Vanity Fair by William Makepeace Thackeray next. I found it on FullBooks and it looks like it will be good. So far I have read:

1. Don Quixote by Miguel de Cervantes
6. Moby-Dick by Herman Melville
11. Emma by Jane Austen
17. Absalom, Absalom! by William Faulkner
23. The Sound and the Fury by William Faulkner
29. The Portrait of a Lady by Henry James
41. Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen
64. A Passage to India by E.M. Forster
77. Robinson Crusoe by Daniel Defoe
83. Their Eyes Were Watching God by Zora Neale Hurston

I'm excited to get a few more books crossed off of my list!

Hey, Lisa. Thanks for the feedback on my blog. Seems like forever ago that we were all on WebMD (I've been so lost the few times I've checked the boards over there). Some of us started a group on FB. Let me know if you'd like to join us!
