I tried it this morning.
Oh. My.
Reasons The 30 Day Shred is maybe not for me:
1. I don't really care that much about 10% body fat. I just want to fit into my size 10's (don't judge, Size 4's!).
2. I did *maybe* 10 minutes and I feel like I'm going to throw up all those mini Reese's peanut butter cups I ate this morning.
3. It was a workout just to get throught the 2 minutes of jumping jacks.
4. I have never been able to and probably won't ever be able to do a push-up...not even the girl ones.
5. I would rather do all cardio than any strength training...ever.
This is going to be a process.

I hope you can find some parts of the workout that you will like.
ReplyDeleteEven when I was in the best shape of my life, I still couldn't do a push up. I hate those things with a passion!
I like strength training and cardio.
Don't give up on The Shred.
ReplyDeleteI started the DVD in June.
It took me 90 days to complete the 30 Day Shred. (It took me that long to recover/walk without pain btw workouts). I promise you will see results!
-I am the sister of one of your sister's friends.
Lisa - I am also starting the Shred program, although not until Jan.1. Let me know how things go in the coming weeks. I plan to share my progress or lack of progress on my blog.
ReplyDeleteI have the Shred too. I used it when I started working out again back in April. At first it was really really hard, but then after my body adjusted to it I really started to like it. Stick with it, it takes a while, but you will get some great results!
ReplyDeleteI bought that DVD after I had Katie and it is still in its plastic sitting next to the TV. I guess I should get it out and do it - maybe that will be my New Years Resolution...so it's rather hardcore then, huh?? And...I want to fit in my size 10s too!!!! :)
